Hello everyone ! :) First time playing Demon’s souls. I play the ps5 remake. I am a strength build. And I wanted to know how I can upgrade my weapons to « crushing » type with Ed in 2-1. I have 7 shards of greystone but when I click with Ed to upgrade my weapons i can only upgrade it to a normal +1 :/Question on Crushing Claymore scaling. I'm using a STR build, and currently have a claymore +5 (basic). Currently at 22 STR to wield the purple shield. I keep coming across posts claiming that the crushing path is amazing, but looking at the planner even at 50 STR crushing +5 only offers 17 more damage than basic +10 (341 vs 324). Claymore has a thrusting R2, bastard sword has a sweeping R2. Since your R1 attacks already sweep, having the thrust R2 gives it a lot more versatility. The damage from a Sharp Flamberge is mediocre when compared to that of a Crushing Claymore, massive difference when 2h and cursed.
